Today is the 20th anniversary of Audrey Hepburn’s death. Audrey Hepburn was a beautiful, iconic Hollywood actress, who eventually left the movie star life and began doing humanitarian work for UNICEF.
Ms. Hepburn was born in Belgium and spent part of her childhood in the Netherlands during World War II. She began her work on stage and was cast in her first starring role in the film, Roman Holiday. She won the Academy Award for her role in Roman Holiday and was nominated several more times throughout her career.
Ms. Hepburn had two sons and was unmarried at the time of her death. She moved to Switzerland when she was 34 and lived there for the remainder of her life.
