It has been 55 years since Humphrey Bogart died at age 57. Bogie, as he was affectionately called, died from esophageal cancer, leaving a wife and two children. He was married to another leading star of the time, Lauren Bacall, who was at his bedside at the time of his death. Still thought of as one of the best actors in film history, Bogart is credited with 10 of the top 100 movie quotes of all time from the American Film Institute.1
So, in honor of the anniversary of Mr. Bogart’s death – “Here’s looking at you, kid.”
